Apps to aid Dyslexia or Dyslexia Type Difficulties

Natural Reader – Converts any word or pdf document to speech.

 

Dyslexia Glasses – uses the camera function to change the colour of a document. Useful with pupils who benefit from coloured overlays.

 

 

Office Lens – photographs any printed text and converts it to Word or an Immersive reader to read the text aloud.

 

Notes –  the Notes app that comes with an ipad allows students to speak into the microphone and converts this to text.  Reliable if the user speaks relatively clearly.

 

Siri – Siri can be used to research by verbal command rather than typing text
