Any pupil who is going on this trip, needs to bring their passport details to either Mrs Russell in Business Education or Mrs McGroarty in Computing Science, before Friday 21st April. This is to allow us to pass on the details to the Airline company.
This trip leaves on Saturday 17th June 2017, with the group returning on Thursday 22nd June 2017.
The final payment for the trip is due by Friday 24th March.
A meeting with parents/carers, to go over the details, will be held in May after the exam diet is completed.
On Wednesday 22nd March, the Home Economics Dept. will once again host one of their “Foodie” evenings. The menu for this Wednesday includes Chicken Korma followed by hot Swiss Trifle. Sounds delicious.
Tonight, Wednesday 15th March, the Home Economics Dept. are hosting the first of a series of 4 nights in which Pupils, Parents and Pals will be discovering new cooking methods and how to make exciting healthy dishes to feed a family.
On the Menu tonight is Mock Moussaka followed by Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. The menus for the following weeks will include: Minestrone Soup and Chicken Fajitas, all accompanied by fantastic – but not so healthy – desserts
After Easter the family group will change over to visit the Technical Dept. Here they will have the opportunity to use a laser cutter to make articles for the home. These will include items such as personalised key rings and wall clocks.

An information session, about their Foundation Apprenticeship Programme, is being held in New College Lanarkshire on Friday 17th March 2017 beginning at 11 a.m.

This is taking place on Thursday 2nd March between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm. Many universities, colleges and employers will be represented, and this should help our young people with their subject choices and provide information to help with possible career options. Young people, and their parents, who are currently in 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th year are invited to attend. Students will receive letters and flyers with further details next week.
